Are Americans Getting Dumber?

Image result for stupid conservative signs

Are we getting more stupid by the minute? Is the Conservative plot to make our kids stupid working?

The old saw by George Santayana, that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," seems to becoming true as the following story suggests...

"Media Research Center TV reporter Dan Joseph conducted the experiment by speaking to 15 randomly passing students.

"Almost all of them failed miserably.

"Here were a few of the failed guesses by students when shown his picture:
"Ugh, is that Bush?"
"Guess again.
"I’m thinking of the name right now. I know the face. Umm…."
"Another student didn’t even want to attempt to guess. She absolutely refused to answer for fear she might guess wrong.

"Some more failed responses:
"Is it John Wayne?"
"He looks like one of those country singers…."
"And, lastly…one student come close by saying….'is it some sort of president?'"

"Pretty close, but no cigar.

"Reagan himself, no different than the Republican party of today, even ran on a platform back in 1980 calling for the Department of Education’s abolishment. While he did re-evaluate later on and form different views, one is to wonder if Reagan would have thought any different had a video like this existed early on in his career. If not for the future of America’s education, but for his own survival in history..."

Some think that we should pass a test before being allowed to vote, but that might not work out too well...

"Only one-in-three Americans knows how many women serve on the Supreme Court, but 91 percent can identify Martin Luther King Jr., 47 years after his assassination.

"That’s according to the latest Pew Research Center News IQ survey released Tuesday, which tests how well the American public knows the world in words, maps and pictures.

"Almost all millennials surveyed — 96 percent — could pick out King from a list of names that included Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson and Thurgood Marshall. Older generations could mostly identify the slain civil-rights leader, as 89 percent of Gen Xers, Baby Boomers and the Silent Generation did.

"But millennials apparently aren’t so great at identifying the current party makeup of the Senate. Only 47 percent of respondents aged 18 to 34 were able to do so, compared to 52 percent overall. Those who described themselves as more politically engaged were more likely to know the upper chamber’s composition. (For the record, Republicans hold 54 seats; Democrats 44 seats; and Independents two seats.)..."

And how are our colleges stacking up when it comes to educating our kids? Not too well either, apparently...

"Shockingly Few Students Are Proficient In U.S. History."

"Which of these do the governments of Canada, France and Australia have in common: a) They are controlled by the military; b) They have constitutions that limit their power; c) They have leaders with absolute power; d) They discourage participation by citizens in public affairs?

"If you chose b, you're smarter than more than 40 percent of America’s eighth graders. But that's a stubbornly low bar, according to a report released Wednesday by the federal government’s educational research arm.

"Students posted relatively low scores on national exams in civics, history and geography in 2014, no better on average than in 2010 and slightly improved from 1994. The tests are the subject exams of the National Assessment of Educational Progress, a low-stakes test administered by the federal government to a nationally representative sample of public and private school students. Experts consider it to be the gold standard for measuring student knowledge, but one of its proponents says its definition of proficiency is 'aspirational...'"

...because our kids seem to have other priorities in mind when they go to school.

Now that we know what's happening to the ill-educated Americans, it's time to find out why this is a problem, with memes and pix of people that are taking advantage of our stupidity - like this lady...

...and this lady too...

...and this guy...

...and this guy...

...and this guy...

...and these people...

...and these people too...

...because Conservatives HATE edukashun...

...and by "hate" we mean REALLY hate!

Stupidity seems to affect certain parts of the country...

...but we'll try not to mention any names...

...because some of their people's feelings might be hurt...

...even though they sometimes claim to proud of their stupidity... matter how they might harm you and your loved ones!

Misinformed voters and low information voters haven't a clue to how the Cons are dumbing down our children, which sort of makes them pretty stupid too.

The success of their goal of making us stupid enough to swallow their lies and deceptions is staggering.

If a criminal syndicate announced that they were going to tear down our schools and substitute them with their own for-profit schools that didn't work, we'd have a problem with that.

But the misinformed voters and low information voters are helping the Cons succeed in making us as stupid as possible, and will probably take us down the path of every totalitarian government that has done the same thing in the past, leading us to ask a familiar question: Isn't it time to...

...criminalize Conservatism?

Joyce, Jnr.

"Well, I learned a lot....I went down to (Latin America) to find out from them and
(learn) their views. You'd be surprised. They're all individual countries"

Ronald Reagan.
