A Funny Thing Happened After You Didn't Vote On Election Day

Did you vote last November? Chances are you didn't and now you realize the extremists have taken over...

"Voter turnout for 2014 midterms worst in 72 years."

"Voter turnout in last week's midterm elections was terrible. How terrible? Just 36.3 percent of eligible voters cast votes — the worst turnout in 72 years, the New York Times reports. Only the 1942 election (33.9 percent) had a lower rate of voter turnout.

"Here's a quick breakdown, based on preliminary estimates of voting data from the United States Elections Project:

"• Less than half of the eligible voters in 43 states cast votes.

"• The seven that saw more than half: Maine, Wisconsin, Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, Minnesota and Iowa.

"• No state cracked 60 percent..."

But for those who voted because they believed this... this instead...

"A man without a vote is a man without protection," said Lyndon B. Johnson - and boy, did he know what he was talking about...

"Thanks American Idiot Voters: GOP Begins New Congress With FIVE Extreme Anti-Choice Bills!"

"Running off the boost of their newly-minted Senate majority, the GOP is going hard after abortion rights, introducing five new abortion restrictions designed to severely limit a woman’s access to the procedure.

"From The Huffington Post:

"Reps. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) on Monday reintroduced a ban on abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, which the GOP-controlled House already passed once in 2013. And Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) introduced four bills on Wednesday that would bar Planned Parenthood from receiving federal family planning funds, require all abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a local hospital, ban abortions performed on the basis of gender, and allow hospitals, doctors and nurses to refuse to provide or participate in abortion care for women, even in cases of emergency.

"Condemning the newly proposed measures, Planned Parenthood released a statement on Thursday, saying that it’s just another example of the GOP trying to wrestle away a woman’s ability to make her own medical decisions:

"'The public wants Congress to protect women’s health, not interfere in women’s personal medical decisions,' Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards said in a statement, 'Which means making sure all forms of birth control are affordable, women can get preventive care at Planned Parenthood and other trusted providers, and abortion remains safe and legal...'"

As usual, the Cons feel sorry for themselves...

"Conservatives feel sorry for themselves: Sarah Palin, Fox News and the right’s persecution complex."

"The former governor's recent meltdown over a family photo speaks to a larger, more disturbing right-wing pathology.

"The year is a week old and already we have a contender for the dumbest culture war moment of 2015: Sarah Palin having one of her many paranoid meltdowns, this time over a stupid photo of her son standing on a dog, which she posted on her Facebook page with a suggestion that the moment was cute and admirable. When the inevitable criticism came, she freaked out and tried to turn the whole thing into a morality play about the supposed oppression of conservative Americans that has been the theme of her entire career. In fact, it’s the central claim of the entire right-wing movement, and the engine that keeps the money flowing both to politicians and to right-wing con artists like Palin, who make a living by lying to conservatives about how they’re under attack.

"Many people were understandably put off by the photograph, which confirmed a lot of suspicions that Palin can’t be bothered to teach her children the basics, like respect for animals. But she zeroed in on PETA, because it was another opportunity for her to peddle a paranoid rant about how conservatives are under attack. 'Did you go as crazy when your heroic Man-of-Your-Lifetime, Barack Obama, revealed he actually enjoyed eating dead dog meat?' she whined..."

Because somehow the Cons think they got the short end of the stick because the "Reagan Democrats" stayed home too...

Or are we somehow looking at this a bit wrong?

Because while you stayed home, the Cons were busy at work...

Because governing is hard work!

Unless you think something is wrong here...

Because something does happen when you stay at home...THIS:

And this...

Because of this...

And things like this will probably never happen.

It's simple: If you stay home, the Conservatives win.  And if the Conservatives win, you lose - we all lose.

Conservatism is the unbridled control of government by the upper class, nothing more and nothing less, and there are always enough criminally-minded to help the greediest and wealthiest among us to take the food from our tables and the democracy we fought so hard for in the Revolution.

The Founding Fathers did what they could to stop the Cons of their day, but it all falls apart when the People aren't educated.

It's time for a new Revolution to take back our democracy, and the ultimate goal is to criminalize Conservatism...Joyce, Jnr.

"Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are
prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is

Franklin D. Roosevelt.
