Conservatives Take Stupidity To A Whole New Level

"For at least two thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religious or political idols."  -- Aldous Huxley, Complete Essays 1, 1920-25.

Stupidity abounds in the Conservative world, and sometimes it hurts the eyes while it boggles the mind of the non-stupid...

Sometimes the Cons advertise their own stupidity...

"Billboard Featuring Huge Set of Testicles Reads: Who ‘Has the Balls to Impeach Obama’ (Video)."

"Oh, look who’s playing the impeachment game.

"A billboard has appeared on Cleveland’s west side displaying a very large set of testicles, reading 'Does anyone on Congress have a set of these?' The opposite side of the billboard is an 'unflattering' caricature of Obama, reading 'impeach now.'

"The owner of the sign, Nancy Sysack, justified the sign: 'Sometimes you’ve got to put things out there in order to make a point and get people to turn their heads. There’s more graphic stuff in the art museum.'

"Her name is Sysack, her sign has massive testicles, and she’s talking about turning heads. Thank God she didn’t mention anything about coughing..."

But some try to keep their stupidity more of a private matter -- on the internet...

While some get involved in the political process...

And that's where the problem starts...

Fox News Rick Perry

"Ever since a Texas Grand Jury handed down an indictment against Gov. Rick Perry, most of the Republican establishment and right-wing press have deliberately mischaracterized the nature of the criminal allegations. They all are marching lock-step in an effort to defend official abuse of power by pretending that the violation was due to the execution of a veto, something that is entirely permissible by a governor in Texas..."

Because when it comes to politics somehow the poor Conservative Sheeplets can't separate facts from logic...

"Fundie Kook Bryan Fischer Whines About 'Lesbian' Who Indicted Rick Perry — But Prosecutor is MALE (Images)."

Bryan_Fischer_Lesbian-DA_1

"Fundamentalist 'Christian' conservative lunatic Bryan Fischer has had a fantastic revelation about Rick Perry’s indictment. Apparently, Rosemary Lehmberg is a lesbian. The horror. But, worse than that, she’s the lesbian who indicted Rick Perry for abuse of power. No, seriously! He did say that. He took to Twitter on August 15 to whine and cry about the horrible lesbian that has it in for Texas’ great and wonderful governor..."

Because it's then their stupidity gets downright dangerous for the rest of us...

When the smarter Conservatives fool their stupid followers, the lies escalate...

"Six Studies That Show Everything Republicans Believe is Wrong."

Ted Cruz Five Studies That Prove Republicans Are Wrong About the Economy

"It's time for the right wing to stop lying about the minimum wage, taxes, global warming and more

"The great 20th-century economist John Maynard Keynes has been widely quoted as saying, 'When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?' Sadly, in their quest to concentrate economic and political power in the hands of the wealthiest members of society, today's Republicans have held the opposite position – as the evidence has piled up against them, they continue spreading the same myths. Here are six simple facts about the economy that Republicans just can't seem to accept:

"1. The Minimum Wage Doesn't Kill Jobs.

"The Republican story on the minimum wage takes the inordinately complex interactions of the market and makes them absurdly simple. Raise the price of labor through a minimum wage, they claim, and employers will hire fewer workers. But that's not how it works..."

So keep aware of the news around us, and brush up on your deductive logic skills...and go get 'em!

"13 Logical Fallacies and How Conservatives Use Them to Distort the Facts."

"How do conservatives keep winning the public debate, when their agenda is so cruel, destructive and unworkable? By using 12 sneaky tricks that are logical fallacies, but devastatingly effective ones that work almost every time.

"If you’re anything like me, you can’t resist commenting on links from sites like Mediaite or HuffPo, where you are likely to get replies from conservatives and/or Teabaggers. Every time this happens, I find myself rolling my eyes at their comments because 9.9 times out of 10 it will contain a logical fallacy (the other .1 are just name-calling). Face it, most righties just can’t make a sound argument. This is usually because they either don’t have the facts  or don’t understand the premise. So they resort to logical fallacies.

"Ground rules: what is an argument?

"Despite what our ideological opponents believe, an argument is more than just naysaying (as Monty Python showed us). A real argument presents a conclusion and then, using empirical, and sometimes anecdotal, evidence goes on to prove it. There are two kinds of argument: a deductive argument is one in which all evidence completely supports the conclusion. For (a very simplistic) example:
Premise: If I am not a conservative, then I am a liberal
Premise: I am not a conservative
Conclusion: I am a liberal
"The second kind of argument is inductive, in which the premises appear to lend some degree of support for the conclusion. Another rather simplistic example:
Premise: Most liberals are Democrats
Premise: I am a liberal
Conclusion: I am a Democrat
"An incorrect conclusion can easily be supported via either kind of argument. If a basic premise is wrong — such as President Obama is a socialist — it will lead to a faulty conclusion: Obama wants to ruin America. One cannot support a conclusion with the wrong premises as a starting point..."

********************
What in the world can we do about all the stupid people in politics?  They thrive in the Conservative world and their stupidity, coupled with hatred and authoritarianism, is leading them on their quest to hand over the government to the rich.

We can't legislate against stupidity since just like homosexuality it's inborn, and we can't just get rid of all the stupid Conservatives since there wouldn't be anyone around to fix our toilets and clean our streets once Conservatism is criminalized.

Maybe they can self-deport?
