Conservatives: Mean Or Stupid?

"The Republican Party is made up of a few smart people and a whole lot of dumb ones," goes the old saying -- but are Conservatives just stupid, or are they mean?

Here is the stupid variety of Conservative...

"Right-Wing Comment Trolls FLIP OUT Over Obama’s Baby Fist Bump Photo (Images)."

Happy Birthday, President Obama! See some of our favorite photos from the past year → http://go.wh.gov/Dqj7iK

"To celebrate Barack Obama’s 53rd birthday on August 4, folks from the White House staff posted some photos with highlights from the past year. And who can blame them for feeling a bit peeved by the do-nothing GOP, and needling those Teabaggers with a couple fist bump photos..."

And here's the mean variety...

Stupid...

Mean...

"Republicans Spreading 'Outright Lies' About Ebola And Migrant Children."

"Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) accused Republicans on Thursday of spreading 'outright lies and exaggerations' during the current border crisis, particularly statements that unaccompanied minors from Central America might be bringing Ebola into the U.S.

"'The violence is rampant there and little children, toddlers, show up at our borders fleeing as refugees from those countries, and they say they're bringing disease,' the outspoken congressman said of GOP members on Ora.tv’s 'Politicking' with Larry King. 'They say that they're infesting our country with diseases that are incurable. Those are outright lies and exaggerations. That's pretty mean, Larry, when you treat children like that...'"

Stupid...

Or mean...

"Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin’s Facebook allegation that the Democrats’ health-care overhaul would include 'death panels' to decide whether seniors and disabled people were worthy of care was named 'Lie of the Year' (in 2009) by fact-checkers at Politifact.com.

"'Of all the falsehoods and distortions in the political discourse this year, one stood out from the rest,' writes Politifact.com, the non-partisan, Pulitzer Prize-winning site run by the St. Petersburg Times. Palin’s 'assertion — that the government would set up boards to determine whether seniors and the disabled were worthy of care — spread through newscasts, talk shows, blogs and town hall meetings...'"

When you analyze the question there's only one possible answer: All of the above. But why do they have to lie about everything? Why do the Conservative leaders and propagandists want the stupidest of the stupid to be their ardent followers?

Let's eliminate stupidty AND meanness...we'll just criminalize Conservatism!
